Warren Hoeffler,
Ph.D., President and CEO, is a scientist-entrepreneur who founded
Xgene Corporation. As a faculty member at Stanford University
Medical School’s Department of Dermatology, working a total of
seven years, he gained the needed technical background in
Dermatology and extensive
experience in managing research projects. Prior to this, he worked in the
private sector of the biotech industry at Genentech Inc. under its
current CEO, Arthur Levinson, Ph.D.. Currently at Xgene Corporation,
his research has resulted in a strong patent portfolio for the
company, in both the CeSSE technology, and in gene regulation. He
has edited and co-authored a book, and has numerous articles in leading
research journals. He has also done leading work in the area of gene
regulation and did his graduate work in the lab of
Dr. Robert Roeder at Rockefeller University.
